March is a sign that change is around the corner. Typically, this change manifests itself in the form of a warmer season we look forward called Spring. But in this case, change is present in your very own Lightspeed Retail POS, mainly in the form of newly designed receipt options and integrated payment processing with Vantiv for US merchants. Here are our new features, bug fixes and enhancements:

New Features

  • Searching for customers by email address: Along with the following criteria, all merchants can now search for their existing customers by email address:
    • First or last name.
    • Phone number (work, home, mobile, pager, or fax).
    • Email address.
    • Company.
    • Value in customer’s Custom field (used for loyalty identifiers for example).

  • New receipt options: From the Sales History screen, all merchants are now greeted with the newly designed receipt options below. The available receipt options are dependent on if the sale status is Completed or In Progress.
    • Print Receipt.
    • Print Gift Receipt.
    • Print Full-Page Receipt (via AirPrint).
    • Print Full-Page Gift Receipt (via AirPrint).
    • Email Receipt.
    • Refund.
    • Reopen.

Bug Fixes and Enhancements

  • US merchants can now process integrated payments with Vantiv (Computer and iPad setups supported).
  • Fixed an issue involving printing labels from an iPad 4 or iPad Mini.LI-5477
